Hunderfossen is a winter wonderland that offers fun for everyone in the family, including mum and dad. Enter into the exciting world of fairytales in the Fairytale Palace by uncovering the Norwegian folklore by meeting the King, princesses, trolls and other characters from the Norwegian myths and legends. The magical winter wonderland offers a wide range of activities such as snow scooters, horse sleigh rides, ice climbing, snow rafting, ice climbing and many more.
The newest addition to Hunderfossen is the Trollfallet….rescue the princess from the top of the tower who has been captured by a troll. This attraction is located at the top of the castle, and combines a pre-story walk through with a freefall tower. Participants must be over 1.2 m in height.
If you get hungry, hidden inside a 14 metre troll is the fairytale cave and the Trollsalen restaurant, the roof of the restaurant is held up by six large trolls, and you can experience traditional Norwegian food based from ingredients harvested from local rivers, forests and mountains.
Your enchanting adventure in the winter wonderland doesn’t have to end when the park closes. Spend a night in Scandinavia’s southernmost snow hotel, which is located in the heart of the Hunderfossen Winter Park near to the Fairytale castle. The Snow Hotel consists of two sleeping rooms with five bed in each, room temperatures vary from -3 to -7 degrees Celsius, and you will still experience a warm and comfortable sleep as the beds are covered in sheepskin and you are provided with specially designed sleeping bags, that will keep you warm through the night. For individuals, the snow hotel is open on the same evenings as the winter park. Groups of 10-24 people can book any time between January15th-March 12th 2011. Also located in the Snow Hotel is an Ice Bar and an Ice Cathedral which are carved out from snow and ice. The facilities in Quality Hotel& Resort Hunderfossen are open to all guests of the Snow Hotel which is located 400m away.

Your transport to Lillehammer is by convenient train from Oslo direct to the resort. The train station is within the airport building and transport is easy.
